Fiddy Peony

I was strictly a natives only kinda gal growing up. We had a huge country block and it was all planted out with natives plants only. So I therefore was a bit of a natives snob. And yes, it provides biodiversity and habitat for our native wildlife, so at heart, I still remain loyal. But at some point, I just discovered flowers and plants in general, and you know what I just love em. I have multiple tattoos of them. They are just all the things. Beauty, colours, shade, building materials, perfume, food, all kinds of shapes, tastes, medicine, fiber, stimulants, relaxants, OXYGEN and ultimately, I mean, they are in charge. And so recently when I turned 50, and I had a flower party. And a lovely friend gave me some peonies, and they are just so delightful. They started off a deep pink in a tight little ball, and slowly they opened up and faded to the softest peachy pink. Just a delight. I mean nature, really is fucking gobsmackingly astounding.
