A bit from here, a bit from there. That's where I imagine my quarks, molecules, atoms ecetera come from. Could I be made up of all manner of things? A bit from some dog poo, maybe another bit from a leather shoe from medieval Wales or Scotland? Some giant Victorian Ash tree or some worm wee? A bit of glittery stalagmite? Some kangaroo fur? Some spider web? A bit of Gippsland swamp mud? We are all made up of bits from here and bits from there. Everything that ever existed still exists, just in small parts, mixed up together again to form something new. Form of a frog, a gum blossom, a galah, a cucumber, or maybe a guitar? With a sprinkle of some gold, meteor and some star?

This piece will be in my exhibition 'Quark' at House of Plants from April 18 to May 26. I can deliver locally to Melbourne once the exhibition ends or available for pickup from Brunswick West.
